High Representative calls on RS institutions to act responsibly

The High Representative, Wolfgang Petritsch, regards the latest attempts by the RS National Assembly to obstruct the work of the current RS Entity Government as highly irresponsible. The High Representative also has serious doubts on whether the attempts of the Assembly to limit the Government's authority are in keeping with the RS Constitution.

These actions destabilise the RS and damage the interests of its citizens by disrupting the work of both executive and legislative bodies in the Entity.

The RS is facing very tough economic questions, which need speedy resolution. At a time of crisis it is unacceptable to put party interests above the interests of RS citizens.

The High Representative reminds both Deputies and the Government that they are legally obliged to carry out their responsibilities in accordance with the Constitution of RS.
