Lajčák in Ottawa: BiH must meet all conditions and objectives for OHR-EUSR transition

“Bosnia and Herzegovina must meet in full the conditions and objectives set by the Peace Implementation Council to enable OHR-EUSR transition”, the High Representative and EU Special Representative Miroslav Lajčak said following a meeting with the Deputy Foreign Minister of Canada, Leonard Edwards, in Ottawa yeasterday.

“To date, there has little progress in resolving the issue of state property and defining the status of Brcko, which is of concern to PIC members”, Lajčák said.

The talks with senior Canadian officials are part of the HR/EUSR’s consultations with capitals of PIC members ahead of the next meeting of the PIC Steering Board on 20-21 November in Brussels.

Following his visit to Ottawa, the HR/EUSR will travel to Washington and Ankara for meetings with senior US and Turkish officials.
