Supervisor Gregorian expressed his support for the efforts of the Fund to ensure financial sustainability by passing relevant legislation. He encouraged all parties involved to exercise their respective responsibilities in a timely fashion.
“I am pleased to see that the Health Insurance Fund, in its first year of existence, is running a successful operation despite obstacles encountered along the way. The figures of 76,988 insured citizens and positive revenues of over 1,800,000 KM speak for themselves. This is proof that through cooperation, good planning, and with competent and dedicated leadership, institutions can function effectively, even though they are detached from public administration”, said Supervisor Gregorian.
The Supervisor agreed that future successful functioning requires close cooperation with the Brcko District Government and Institutions, especially inspections, to ensure that needed revenues will indeed be collected.
“Successful functioning of the Health Insurance Fund is a guarantee for provision of proper, quality health care to all Brcko District residents which is the objective of this concept”, added the Supervisor.
